1. We do not sell or share your information

Start here

American Mutual Insurance Agency LLC does not sell your personal information, and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We never have. There is no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" opt-out for you to submit, because there is nothing to opt out of.

We do not sell or rent your name, contact details, health information or insurance information to lead buyers, data brokers, marketing companies or other agents. We share information only with the carriers, government marketplaces, regulators and service providers described in section 4 of our Privacy Policy, and only to do the work you asked us to do.

2. The rights you can exercise

RightWhat it means
KnowGet a list of the categories of personal information we collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it, and who we disclosed it to.
AccessGet a copy of the specific pieces of personal information we hold about you, in a portable format where required.
CorrectHave us fix personal information that is inaccurate.
DeleteHave us delete personal information we hold about you, subject to the records we are legally required to keep.
Limit sensitive useRestrict our use of sensitive personal information to what is necessary to provide the service you asked for.
Opt outOpt out of sale or sharing for targeted advertising. We do neither, so nothing is needed.
No retaliationExercise any right without being denied service, charged more, or given a lower level of service.

These rights come from state privacy laws including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, and comparable laws in Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Utah, Oregon, Montana and other states. Residents of any state may submit a request — we honor them wherever we reasonably can, not only where a law compels us.

3. How to submit a request

Use whichever is easiest. All three reach the same person, and all are free.

  • Email info@dfwus.com with "Privacy Request" in the subject line.
  • Call ⁦855-277-7770⁩ and say you are making a privacy request. We can take it in English or Arabic.
  • WhatsApp ⁦469-333-2220⁩.

Tell us

  • Your full name, and the phone number or email address you used with us.
  • Which right you are exercising — know, access, correct, delete or limit.
  • For a correction, what is wrong and what it should say.
  • The state you live in.

4. What happens after you ask

1. We verify who you are

We confirm your identity before acting, usually by matching two or three details already in your file — for example your date of birth, the last policy you held through us, or the email on your record. We ask for the minimum needed and we never ask for a Social Security number or a password to verify a privacy request.

2. We respond

We acknowledge within 10 business days and complete the request within 45 days. If the request is complex we may extend once by another 45 days and will tell you why before we do.

3. We tell you plainly what we did

If we cannot fully honor a request we say so and explain why. The most common reason is a legal record-keeping duty — for example CMS requires Medicare enrollment records to be retained, commonly for ten years, and state insurance law requires agencies to keep client files. In that case we delete everything we are permitted to delete and tell you exactly what was kept and for how long.

4. If you disagree

Reply and ask us to review it again — several state laws give you a right to appeal, and we honor that for everyone. If you are still not satisfied, you can contact your state attorney general's consumer protection office or your state department of insurance.

5. Requests made by someone else

Someone else may make a request for you — a spouse, an adult child, a caregiver, a power of attorney, or a professional privacy agent. We need written permission signed by you, and we will confirm directly with you before acting.

If you hold a valid power of attorney or are a court-appointed guardian or conservator, send us a copy and we will act on it without further authorization from the person concerned.

For a deceased client, an executor or administrator may make a request with a death certificate and proof of their appointment.

6. Cookies, tracking and browser signals

dfwus.com uses cookies that are strictly necessary to run the site, plus privacy-protective analytics so we can see which pages are useful. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels that build profiles across other websites.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the site.

Global Privacy Control (GPC). Because we do not sell or share personal information for behavioral advertising, a GPC signal has nothing to act on here. We honor it as an opt-out signal wherever a state law requires that.

7. Choosing how we contact you

Separately from your legal privacy rights, you can tell us at any time how you do and do not want to be contacted:

  • Texts — reply STOP to any message. See our SMS Terms.
  • WhatsApp — tell us to stop, or block the number in the app.
  • Email — use the unsubscribe link, or just tell your agent.
  • Calls — ask to be placed on our internal do-not-call list. You can also register at https://www.donotcall.gov

We may still need to contact you about an active application or a policy you hold — those are service communications, not marketing, and they keep your coverage working.
