Terms of Use
The rules that govern your use of dfwus.com. By using this website you agree to them.
Effective August 27, 2026 · Last updated August 27, 2026 · Applies to dfwus.com and all its pages
1. Agreeing to these terms
This website is operated by American Mutual Insurance Agency LLC ("American Mutual", "we", "us"), a licensed independent insurance agency in the United States.
By accessing or using dfwus.com you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
These terms apply to everyone who uses the site — visitors browsing information, people requesting quotes, and existing clients.
2. What this website is
dfwus.com is an informational and lead-generation website for a licensed insurance agency. Through it you can learn about types of coverage, read our guides, and ask us to contact you about a quote.
What it is not
- It is not an insurance company. We are an agency. Coverage is issued by licensed insurance carriers, not by us.
- It is not an offer of insurance. Nothing on this site is a binder, a policy, or a promise that coverage will be issued to you.
- It is not advice. The content here is general information, not legal, tax, medical or individualized financial advice.
- It is not a government website and it is not connected with or endorsed by the U.S. government, the federal Medicare program, or HealthCare.gov.
See our Insurance Disclaimer for the full detail on how insurance information on this site should be read.
3. Who may use it
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to request a quote or submit an application through this site.
We are licensed to transact insurance in Arizona, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin. If you live outside these states we may not be able to help you, and information on this site may not apply where you live. Product and carrier availability varies by state, county, eligibility and our appointments.
The site is intended for use in the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with your local law.
4. Information you give us
When you submit a quote request, a contact form, or an application, you agree that:
- The information you give is true, accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
- You have the right to give us information about anyone else you list — a spouse, child or dependent.
- You will tell us promptly if something material changes before your coverage takes effect.
Insurance applications are legal documents. Giving false or incomplete information on an application can cause an application to be declined, a claim to be denied, or a policy to be rescinded by the carrier, and in some cases it is insurance fraud under state law.
Submitting a form gives us permission to contact you about your request by phone, email, SMS or WhatsApp using the details you provided. See our SMS Terms and Privacy Policy.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the site for any unlawful purpose, or to submit false or fraudulent information.
- Impersonate another person or submit someone else's personal information without their permission.
- Scrape, harvest, mine or bulk-download content, or use bots or automated tools against the site.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site, its systems or other users' data.
- Introduce malware, or interfere with the site's operation or security.
- Reuse our content commercially, or frame or mirror the site, without our written permission.
We may suspend or block access to anyone who breaks these rules.
6. Our content and trademarks
All content on dfwus.com — text, guides, articles, graphics, layout, logos and the American Mutual name — is owned by American Mutual Insurance Agency LLC or used with permission, and is protected by copyright and trademark law.
You may view, print and share pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. Any other reproduction, distribution, modification or republication requires our written permission.
Carrier names, plan names and government program names appearing on this site belong to their respective owners. Their appearance here does not imply endorsement of American Mutual by them.
7. Links to other sites
We link to insurance carriers, HealthCare.gov, Medicare.gov, state insurance departments and other third parties for your convenience. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability or privacy practices.
A link is not an endorsement. Once you leave dfwus.com, that site's own terms and privacy policy apply, not ours.
8. The site is provided "as is"
We work to keep this site accurate and current, but insurance rules, plan designs, premiums, networks and government programs change frequently, and errors happen.
The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that any information on it is complete or current.
Always confirm plan details with the carrier's official documents before you rely on them. The policy, certificate, evidence of coverage or plan document issued by the carrier controls — not this website.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, American Mutual Insurance Agency LLC and its owners, employees and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill, arising out of your use of, or inability to use, this website.
Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of this website is limited to the amount you paid us for use of the website, which is zero — the site is free to use.
This limitation applies to the website. It does not limit any duty we owe you as your licensed insurance agent, and it does not limit any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable state law, including liability for fraud or willful misconduct.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless American Mutual Insurance Agency LLC from any claim, loss, liability or expense — including reasonable legal fees — arising from your misuse of this website, your breach of these terms, or your submission of false, fraudulent or unauthorized information through the site.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from this website that is not resolved between us will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
This section governs disputes about the website. Disputes about an insurance policy are governed by that policy and by the insurance law of the state where it was issued, and may also be raised with that state's department of insurance.
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
12. Changes and how to reach us
We may update these Terms of Use at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
